Shippensburg Hosts Relay for Life to Support Cancer Survivors and Raise Awareness

The American Cancer Society’s Colleges Against Cancer program at Shippensburg University hosted its annual Relay for Life event Friday night at the ShipRec Center. The event, aimed at raising awareness and funds for cancer research, brought students together to support survivors, honor those lost, and inspire hope for those still fighting.
Greeks Compete and Give Back in Ship’s Annual Greek Week Finale

Shippensburg University hosted its annual Greek Lip Sync at Memorial Auditorium in celebration of the end of Greek Week. Throughout the week, each Greek organization competed in various games against one another. These games included volleyball, Greek trivia, kickball, basketball, and more. When a team won an event, they earned points on a leaderboard.
This week also kick-started the Greeks’ annual Cash War, which began on April 7 and ended on April 10. During this time, Greek organizations collected donations in hopes of raising money for the “It’s On Us” foundation.

Page Center’s ‘Who’s Afraid of Vagina Woolf’ Trivia Event Sees Massive Turnout

The Shippensburg University Women and Gender Studies Department hosted its third annual event, Who’s Afraid of Vagina Woolf: A Healthy Body Trivia, on March 24 in CUB Room 119. The event aimed to raise awareness and rid long-standing misconceptions about the female body, emphasizing the importance of women gaining accurate knowledge about their health and anatomy, while not being afraid to speak about it.
Student Groups Battle It Out At RHA’s Annual Mocktail Event

Shippensburg University's Residence Hall Association (RHA) hosted its annual Mocktails event this past Wednesday in the Cub MPR room. Student groups had to sign up in advance and use their creativity to compete against one another for the best mocktail.
This year’s theme, Game On: Fight for the Win, inspired each table to represent a different popular game. One table featured the classic game Sorry, while another showcased Connect Four. The theme added an enjoyable element, as people compared their favorite childhood and recent games.
